Framed

Finally! You know, a photo is only a photo when it materialises. If it rots in a cloud or hard drive, it is not final.

Since I bought a printer this year (an Epson EcoTank ET/8550), I already made my situation better. Using AirPrint, I can quickly print a picture wirelessly straight from my phone.

Until now, I used it to print photos as a quick giveaway or to put a picture on the fridge. Or to create my hand-made photo albums.

However, I was still missing a picture frame. My sister gave me a picture frame as a birthday present! Yay!

Since my printer can print up to DIN-A3, this frame fits this size including lots of spacing provided by a passepartout.. Here it is:

A provisional framed photo - borders are not printed correctly, but hey - it is for testing

The frame is from a German company called Halbe and is tailored for quick and regular exchanges of the pictures. The outer frame is just out magnetically to the body.

This is what I intend: to regularly print a current favourite photo and to hang it on the wall - somewhere in a place I see it everyday. On the back, there are felt pads so that the frame will not make traces on the wall and to hold it rock steady and evenly. It is really a phantastic thing.

In case, you are interested, here is a link to Halbe’s magnetic frames (not sponsored).

Well, it is not in the living room, but in the hallway where I come by several times a day.
